Outsourcing Model
The Chain•Sys engagement manager is the single point of contact for all the project related needs of the customers. He/She is responsible for the deliverables. The onsite project manager interacts with customers to gather their specific needs and requirements and gets them implemented. Depending on the size and complexity of the engagement, on-site project leaders are assigned to assist the project manager. The diagram shows the off-site team. All the team members interact constantly and work towards successful deliverables.

The customer can review/monitor the progress of the project through webapps developed by Chain•Sys

The project Management Methodology incorporates usage of quality processes right from requirements gathering phase or even earlier from the bidding phase to final delivery and cutover phase.

The Extreme Programming Methodology is used by the programming team to ensure high quality and incremental building of systems.

We use a time tested and highly successful methodology to manage projects that deliver solutions on time and within budget. The goal of our project management approach, as in any management endeavor, is to obtain the most effective utilization of time, money, and resources to achieve the defined objectives.

The Chain•Sys team’s strong information technology heritage, coupled with its enabling change expertise and proven project management methodologies, minimizes risk, promotes quality solutions and ensures customer satisfaction.

Our methodology was compiled to assist Chain•Sys engagement teams in providing value-added services to clients that include strategic direction-setting and organizational change, as well as planning, designing, and implementing information systems.

The methodology places emphasis on team-based problem solving and the collaboration required to successfully complete information services engagements. The team necessary to deliver a technology-based solution typically includes client management, users, and Information Technology (IT) personnel, as well as third-party vendors and Chain•Sys professionals.

Chain•Sys project management method integrates these diverse constituencies into a high-performing team. We believe that development of a solution should be focused on the client’s customer in order to increase their level of satisfaction with the product/service.

The formal methodology provides the processes, techniques, and tools to guide project planning and subsequent project control functions.

The four guiding principles are: 1. Clear goals are essential for successful projects. 2. Adherence to formal and constantly improving best practice processes will ensure that all solutions and deliverable products meet their stated requirements. 3. Planning and scheduling of all tasks, as well as resources, and subsequent monitoring, control, and reporting are essential to solution delivery. 4. Agreeing as to deliverables and ensuring an effective change management process are essential to meeting requirements.

Chain•Sys excels in executing the critical path components of a successful project. These components are as follows: Project Planning, Project Control, Requirements Management, Risk Management, Quality Management, Management Reviews.

Risk Management is essential to complete projects on time within budget. All the possible project risks will be identified up front during the scoping phase of the project and remedial measures identified and lined up.

A formal change control form will be utilised by both Chain•Sys and Customer to request for a required change to the scope of the project. When both parties agree to the change Chain•Sys will carefully evaluate the impact of the change on the price and deadline and let Customer know of it. Upon mutual agreement on changed price and deadline, Chain•Sys will implement the changes.

Chain•Sys project manager/leader will submit a weekly project progress report to Customer’s Project Manager (person in charge of the project). The preferred communication means would be e-mail.
