Abstract
Many of the newer R12 implementations and re-implementations are taking full advantage of the Oracle Business Accelerator’s (OBA) rapid implementation methodology. While OBA provides the methodology to bring up your application quickly, a critical piece is often left in the wayside: data readiness. The alternatives available for data conversion of master and transactional data are explored. This presentation demonstrates a proven methodology to ready your data based on successful Oracle R12 OBA implementations.
Critical Success Factors for Business Intelligence
By Martin Ullman. This presentation is assigned to the Oak 2 room in the 3:00-3:40 PM timeslot.
Abstract
Many companies that have successfully implemented ERP systems have not, as yet, introduced business intelligence capabilities to their organizations. For many, the concern is cost and complexity. While the typical ERP implementation can cost between 1.5 and 4 times the cost of the software, estimates for business intelligence run up to 7 times the software cost. Using the observations and conclusions of a Forrester Research study, this presentation steps through the critical success factors and proposes an simple, business oriented, incremental approach to deployment of business intelligence.
