STATE OF THE ART WEB BASED ENGINEERING APPLICATION SOFTWARE
Client: Industry specializing in the design, supply and erection of pre-engineered sectional bolted tanks, factory welded tanks and aluminum geodesic domes. With over 100 years of heritage and with tanks in over 120 countries. They are focused on providing our customers the highest level of quality and customer service. The tanks are used in a wide variety of applications. With five production plants (ISO 9000 certified) in two countries, they have the capacity and flexibility to meet all above ground storage needs.
Our Role: To convert their legacy software in FORTRAN into a DATABASE run WEB-BASED program with E-Quote, incorporating all the latest standards for HOOP STRESS, STIFFENERS for wind design, designs for SEISMIC and SLOSHING loads including calculations for foundations design. Options are available for optimization of the design, including cost of the parts either automatically or manually. All glitches in the existing program have also been rectified like flexibility to design tanks which are of non-standard heights, to suit customer requirements, location of stiffeners.
