Business Situation
Legacy system was used for Boart Longyear's global operations. There were no controls provided in the system which caused millions of dollars in leakages and damages. Due to this legacy architecture of fragmented systems they could not consolidate their data for any analysis or reporting. Boart Longyear decided to overcome these problems by implementing Oracle EBS R12 globally spanning over 70 countries. Boart Longyear implemented Oracle Financials, Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle CRM, Oracle Projects, Oracle Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Oracle OBIEE Answers on Oracle On-Demand Instance.
Boart Longyear needed an out of the box solution for their data conversion needs, and they chose Chain-Sys' appLOAD suite.
Chain-Sys Solution
Chain-Sys offered Boart Longyear appLOAD productivity suite to load their master transactions and setup data into Oracle EBS R12. appLOAD was used for the initial data conversion. Boart Longyear saved substantial time and money over the traditional method of data loading. appLOAD is used as an end user tool for Oracle EBS R12 data management in scenarios such as Customer Cleanup, Supplier Update, Mass Item Update, Cost Update, Human Capital Management Records for over 70 countries.
